Annual Chick Day on Mother's Day!

Blue Ridge, GA

Join us for our

Annual Chick Day on Mother's Day!

Saturday, May 11th

Children 12 years and younger receive a FREE chick!

Limit 1 chick per child

Please note: We DO NOT condone impulse buys on LIVING CREATURES! We pride ourselves on the care of our chicks and knowing our clientele understand how to properly care for the babies they get from us.

We do not have a minimum purchase, BUT we NEVER allow a single chick to be by itself. We spend the time talking and educating our customers to make sure that:

A. They have at least one that hatched, or more at home as chickens are social animals.

B. Are properly set up for them.

C. Know what raising a few days/weeks old chick entails OR are willing to learn and commit to proper care.

WE HAVE REFUSED CHICK SALES when it was clear that there was no intention of actually caring for them properly! This is a benefit of us being a small mom & pop owned business! (Honestly, we turned down a sale THIS WEEK when a vacationer inquired about the price of "A" chick. We spoke to them about the care they needed and the person realized that chicks are cute, but require work just as ANY baby would.)

To go into a bit more detail on WHY do we do Chick Day for Mother's Day, it involves a story about a customer... One day, she came in and was looking a bit down, after having a little conversation, we found out that she didn't receive anything for Mother's Day and knowing she was an AMAZING mother, we felt she deserved to know this. She walked out that day with two free baby chicks, one for each child. Thus, Chick Day for Mother's Day was "hatched". Moms make up most of our chick sales and not only take care of their families, but also the furry and feathery family members. 🥰 We want all our momma hens out there to know that they are valued and strong and are doing a great job even if they aren't always feeling it! 🥹♥️

We hope that this post clears up a few questions and concerns about our Chick Day event and if anyone is still worried, we encourage you to stop in and speak with us directly! Come see our setup, chat chickens, and join our private group, Chicken Chat to understand that we are here for our animals as well as our clientele! We love making new friends that care about their animals just as much as we do! We do not look at these babies as items on a shelf to just be handed out to anyone, we take pride in what we do and hope that others can see this as well! ☺️

Thank you for taking the time to read this as we understand it is a rather long read, but we felt it was necessary for those that do not know us, to feel a bit more confident in what we strive to accomplish here at Cohutta Country Store! ♥️
